My first experience with Tom Westmoreland was when a flood came through our Sage Valley Neighborhood. I was helping a neighbor dig the mud out of their yard and I noticed a man helping that I hadn’t ever seen before in our neighborhood.
He didn’t say anything, he just worked and helped. He didn’t announce himself as “City Councilman Tom Westmoreland” he just helped out without looking for political gain. It was only later that I found out he was on the city council. Needless to say, I was impressed.
Since then he has been helping us keep the SR73 expansion from removing several homes alongside the highway. He also isn’t afraid to speak up about issues on the council even when what needs to be said isn’t popular. Lastly he is a constitutional scholar and I highly recommend his book on the constitution. He has my vote.
